What is the SSM-iCON?
The SSM-iCON is an ultrasonic smart gas meter for residential and light commercial users on low pressure networks. It measures 0.04 to 6 m³/h with accuracy class 1.5 and a 500 mbar maximum pressure, and handles natural gas, biomethane and blends with up to 20% hydrogen. It is designed to OIML R137, EN 14236 and UNI/TS 11291 and certified under MID.
How does the SSM-iCON shut-off valve work?
The integrated valve can be triggered remotely or locally on specific events, such as a temperature threshold being exceeded, which the meter checks with its temperature monitoring sensor. Communication is NB-IoT, GPRS (2G) or RF wireless M-Bus at 169 MHz. The metrology battery lasts 15 years, or 20 years in the extended life XL version.
