Frequently asked questions
What is the FioSonic used for?
The FioSonic is a multi-path chordal ultrasonic gas meter for custody transfer and fiscal measurement in gas transmission, processing, storage, regasification, liquefaction, compression stations and city gates. It covers DN50 to DN750 (2 to 30 inch), with design pressure up to 153 bar(a) according to the flyer, accuracy up to 0.2% with high pressure flow calibration and bi-directional measurement.
Which FioSonic version should I choose?
Choose the four-path FSN-4P for custody transfer: it is certified to AGA-9, OIML R137 (class 0.5 to 1) and MID class 1. The three-path FSN-3P, tested to AGA-9 with accuracy below 1%, suits technical metering such as pipeline branches and grid balancing. The BX series puts two independent measuring systems in one body for redundant measurement.
Is the FioSonic available for projects in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf?
Pietro Fiorentini Saudi Industry in Al Khobar supplies and supports the FioSonic for metering projects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Send us the line size, pressure class, flow range and the custody transfer standard in your specification, and we will prepare a quotation.
