Why is the ASX 176 used at city gates and on transmission lines?
The ASX 176 is a pilot operated, fail close regulator with accuracy class up to AC 1 and lock-up class up to SG 5. It handles 0.8 to 100 bar inlet and 0.3 to 74 bar outlet with a minimum differential of only 0.5 bar. It has a built-in pilot filter, and its flyer notes high reliability where elemental sulphur is present. Sizes run from 1 to 6 inch.
Which accessories fit the ASX 176?
The ASX 176 can carry the LDB/176 silencer, the PM/176 monitor and the SSX 176 slam shut valve. With an incorporated monitor its Cg is about 16% lower than the standard version, and with the built-in silencer about 10% lower, so allow for this in sizing.
