What is the Staflux 185 used for?
The Staflux 185 is a direct operated, fail open regulator controlled by a diaphragm with counter pressure action. It takes 2 to 85 bar inlet and controls a wide 1 to 75 bar outlet, with design pressure up to 100 bar. Sizes are 1, 2 and 3 inch with Class 300 or 600 RF or RTJ flanges. Uses include city gates, compressor stations, power generation and LNG regasification.
Should I choose the Staflux 185 or the Staflux 187?
Choose by inlet pressure and size. The Staflux 185 covers up to 85 bar inlet in 1 to 3 inch and accepts the SB/185 slam shut valve. The Staflux 187 accepts up to 250 bar inlet in a 1 inch body with Class 1500 flanges. Both deliver 1 to 75 bar outlet, are fail open and do not require gas pre-heating.
