What does the FEX add over the FE?
The FEX has slam shuts for both over-pressure (OPSO) and under-pressure (UPSO) built in, and a higher capacity of 50 to 100 m³/h. Inlet is 0.1 to 8.6 bar and outlet 13 to 99 mbar (BP) or 100 to 350 mbar (MP). Connections are G 1 inch inlet and G 1-1/2 inch outlet, and a Class 150 RF flanged version is also listed.
Is the FEX suitable for hydrogen blends and extreme climates?
The FEX flyer states compatibility with biomethane and natural gas blended with up to 20% hydrogen, with higher mixtures on request. An optional fire protection (thermal) valve is available. Standard, extended (-30 °C) and arctic (-40 °C) versions cover different installation climates, and the regulator is suitable for outdoor installation.
