What sizes and set ranges does the PVS 803 cover?
The PVS 803 is a pilot operated relief valve in DN 25, 50, 80, 100 and 150 (1 to 6 inch), with ANSI 150, 300, 600 or PN 16 flanges. It relieves from 1.5 to 75 barg at a design pressure of 102 bar, with maximum overpressure accuracy up to 10 percent. A manual push testing device is optional.
Is a pilot operated valve like the PVS 803 the right choice, or a direct operated one?
Choose the PVS 803 when a high or medium pressure line needs a flanged relief valve from 1 to 6 inch with fast, accurate pilot response. For small 1 inch venting duties, such as thermal expansion in no-flow conditions, a direct operated VS/AM 58 (up to 100 bar) may be enough. For 8 inch, see the PVS 782.
