What makes the Terval/A different from a standard pilot regulator?
The Terval/A combines three functions in one body: the active regulator, an emergency PM/182 monitor and an SA slam shut, and it can also carry a DB silencer. This keeps district station layouts compact. It is Fail Open under EN 334, with inlet from 0.5 to 25 bar, outlet from 5 mbar to 9.5 bar and sizes from 2 to 4 inches.
Should I choose the Terval/A or the Terval/R?
Choose by fail mode and outlet range. The Terval/A is Fail Open, with outlet up to 9.5 bar and a minimum differential pressure of 0.45 bar. The Terval/R is Fail Close, with outlet from 8 mbar to 12 bar, and works from 0.1 bar differential. Both take inlet up to 25 bar, sizes 2 to 4 inches and 10% hydrogen blending, per their flyers.
