What is the Terval/R used for?
The Terval/R is a Fail Close pilot operated regulator for medium and low pressure natural gas networks, mainly at district stations. Inlet is 0.5 to 25 bar and outlet 8 mbar to 12 bar, in 2, 2-1/2, 3 and 4 inch sizes with Class 150 RF or RTJ, PN 25 or PN 40 flanges. Accuracy class reaches 2.5 and lock-up class 5.
Can a monitor and slam shut be mounted on the Terval/R body?
Yes. Like the other Terval regulators, the Terval/R can carry an emergency PM/182 monitor and an SA slam shut on the same body as the active regulator, plus a silencer. The technical brochure notes that the incorporated monitor lowers the Cg coefficient by 5%, which should be allowed for in sizing.
