Governor OPD PFG300 OPD - Regulator with Integrated Over Pressure Device, 10 psig Inlet
PFG300 OPD is a regulator from the GOVERNOR series with an integrated Over Pressure Device, CSA certified to ANSI Z21.80 / CSA 6.22 as a Class II Line Gas Pressure Regulator for inlet pressure up to 10 psig (689 mbar), with an outlet pressure range from 2″ w.c. to 14″ w.c. (5 to 35 mbar). It allows vent-limited, multi-position installation and provides positive dead-end lockup for sizes 1/2″ through 4″. It also features a double diaphragm with an integral vent limiter, an external vent limiter, and a balanced valve design for increased capacity and accuracy.

What is the Over Pressure Device on the Governor OPD?
The Governor OPD (PFG300 OPD) has a worker and a monitor regulator in series. If the working regulator fails, the monitor takes over at a safety pressure normally 70% above the working set point, keeping the outlet below the CSA limit of 2 psig. It is certified Class II to ANSI Z21.80 / CSA 6.22.
Should I choose the Governor OPD or the Governor Dual Cut?
Both are Class II line regulators for inlet up to 10 psig with certified outlet of 2 to 14 inches w.c. and sizes from 1/2 to 4 inches. The Governor OPD accepts a lower inlet, from 7 inches w.c., and protects with a monitor. The Governor Dual Cut needs at least 3 psig inlet and protects with a fixed 1.7 psig upstream stage.
